چکیده
Background Musculoskeletal (MSK) symptoms, varying from arthralgia to arthritis are frequently reported by patients (pts) with inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD). A peripheral or axial joint involvement has been a similar range 5 30% and definite spondyloarthritis (SpA) diagnosis is present in up 46% of IBD [1-8]. To date, more comprehensive disease control requested the optimization treatment (choosing mono combination therapy strategy) improve both gastrointestinal musculoskeletal mandatory. Objectives evaluate rate MSK centric cohort pts consequent need optimize their therapeutical schemes. Methods gastroenterologist working out-patient clinic had selected who should be referred rheumatologic visit, on basis results questionnaire aimed at highlighting presence clinical features suggestive SpA. From January 1 st 2017 December 31 2022 have evaluated rheumatologist expert In case doubts about diagnosis, further examinations were requested. The SpA was made following ASAS criteria 2011. Results total 288 sent (140 CD, 127 UC, 21 not defined IBD). One hundred sixty-eight received only one rheumatological visit while, two twice times. make 37 MRI (30 for sacroiliac joints), 30 ultrasound assessment (mostly hands, wrists feet), 19 X-rays 23 blood tests Most (196/288, 68%) classified as SpA; 50/288 (17.4%) 24/288 (8.3%) SpA, 18/288 (6.3%) there an isolated entheseal involvement. recommended 138 (47.9%). particular, DMARD added 59 bDMARD prescribed 6 indications; moreover, 73 cases, choice between different approaches suggested gastroenterologist, order activity course. Conclusion Our confirm already published prevalence patients. relevant number pts, after evaluation, half modification rheumatologist, aiming improving context These data importance close collaboration gastroenterologists rheumatologists, thus quality care [9]. Auto-antibodies in Patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease Unclassified
Background: Inflammatory bowel disease unclassified (IBDU) is considered to be an aberrant immune response with loss of tolerance to many antigens. Objective: This paper tries to address whether there is any value to test for auto-antibodies in such patients. Methods: 60 patients with inflammatory bowel disease unclassified participated in the study. Auto-antibodies to nuclear antigen, intestin...

BACKGROUND Inflammatory bowel diseases are associated with a variety of extra-intestinal manifestations. The most frequent of these is joint involvement, which affects 16-33 % of IBD patients. Our aim was to evaluate the ultrasound prevalence of sub-clinical joint and entheseal involvement in patients with IBD without musculoskeletal symptoms, and to correlate the US findings with clinical and ...

In this paper we review the existing data concerning the incidence, pathogenesis, clinical picture, management and longterm outcome of patients with IBD who developed acute or chronic pancreatitis before or during the course of their underlying bowel disease. It seems certain that patients with IBD are considered to be at increased risk for developing acute pancreatitis, although large epidemio...

Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is an irregular response of immune system accompanied with different inflammatory manifestations including alterations in cytokines. Probiotics are non-pathogenic organisms with probable effects in various conditions such as inflammation. The present study hypothesized whether oral intake of bifidobacterium and lactobacillus in form of probiotic yogurt may ...
